BMW 1200GSA, multi bike illness
« on: April 18, 2015, 03:06:37 am »

Hey guys.

Well I now have a couple of bikes in the garage. My 2014 Trophy SE which I bought new 1yr ago, and a 2007 BMW 1200GSA.

Trophy won't be ridden home until 2nd week of May, so I'm spending some time getting acquainted with the GS. It's really a different animal. It will never replace the Trophy, but it's surprisingly light and nimble for such a big bike...it's growing on me for sure - it seems to do a lot of things really well, and in a very comfortable upright position - I  understand now how the adventure bikes have become so popular.

First time owning two bikes(I'm fairly new to the sport), so looks like I've caught the same illness many of you suffer from. Good to have choices I suppose.

I've long been a sufferer of Multi Bike Illness....for as long as I can remember one bike was never enough.

But in recent years the symptoms have changed in my case.

They're all three cylinder Hinckley Triumphs with TROPHY written on the side...

Am I fixated ? Should I be committed ?

Please don't spoil the fun I'm having. I've never been so happy  :046:

By having 3 Trophies I think you have already demonstrated your commitment!

Hi, my name is Bludy L and I suffer from Multi Bike Syndrome.
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

I too suffer from Multi Bike Illness.  I have to come to grips with this debilitating sickness by realizing that it is incurable and that at best one can only treat the symptoms...so I buy lots of bikes.  Almost always Triumph.

My wife complained when I had three bikes in my garage, saying you can only ride one at a time!  I countered by advising her my mate had nine.  She exploded why on Earth would someone own nine bikes, to which I replied because he can't fit ten in the garage!

Bread and jam for one week was my punishment.
