    Hi guys,

a question for the UK guys - What engine oil would you recommend for the TTSE?

Am thinking of doing a precautionary change in preparation for a tour to Germany next month. Am at 6k at the moment.

    cheers  :821:

Hi stumpy.... What distance are you expecting to cover on your Germany trip? Probably around 3-4k I would imagine.... Seems perfect to plan for a 10k service on your return...?

I just went with the oil my dealership provided at the service... But away so I can't check the receipt to see what type it was...

    Hi Crop biker,

yeah about that I reckon. I was doing my CBF1000 every 4k so to go 10K is a bit alien to me!!

Have always used Castrol Semi-synth up to buying the TTSE.

    cheers

    The Owners Handbook specifies :

Semi or fully synthetic 10W/40 or 10W/50
motorcycle engine oil which meets specification
API SH (or higher) andJASO MA, such as
Castrol Power 1 Racing 4T 10W-40 (fully synthetic)

It's just as they have engineered this bike with a 10k or 1 year service interval it seems a shame to spend more money than you have to, sooner than you have to!

I hear snake oil is good for 20,000 mile intervals...  :015:
