I'm adding interior lighting to my Shad top case but power only goes to the rear outlet when the engine is running.  Anyone know if it might be possible to rewire that outlet to be on with the switch?

Yeah Coconut, I'm looking at you!   :169:

Does your engine  really have to be running, or just the ignition be on? My Triumph top box outlet has power as soon as the ignition is turned on, engine running or not.

But I don't know anything about the Shad top case.

There shouldn't be any problem with changing (rewiring) that outlet to stay on at all times, if that's what you want to do.

BTW, in case you didn't realize it, the outlet by the left side of the engine is always on, even with ignition off.

According to the service manual, the yellow wire going into the tail light assembly should be energized with the key switch.

Hopefully you had a few pints as well.

Thank you gentlemen.  I'll post some pics as soon as I'm done.
