How Loud?
« on: April 28, 2015, 04:18:41 am »
This is the first on board stereo system I've had in 30+ riding years. At half volume with AVC medium, it seems really loud. It doesn't bother me but I don't want to be obnoxious.

How loud do you set yours? :261:

I listen only through my helmet speakers.  I don't use the bike speakers while on the road.  I figure any sound that can be heard by by other vehicles is too loud.  I hate sitting in a car and hearing the vehicle next to me " boom, thumpa, thumpa, boom". And I don't think lt is just cause I'm older.  Really annoys my kids as well.

I have mine at 50% so at lights it's a little obnoxious  as I have earplugs in as well but I have not been told to turn it down yet!!!
Please take my opinion, I'm not using it!!!

My inter phone f4 Bluetooth On max is just not quite loud enough to enjoy. I find it great that on boring motorways I can listen through the speakers comfortably at 80mph but turn it right down in town for politeness. First bike I have listened to music on only trouble is 'bat out of hell'makes me ride like a teenager on his first sports bike   :002:

What settings do you all use for the AVC?
I ended up with medium.
I find that I never have the volume above half...anyone else?

I generally set the AVC to high that way I don't have to adjust the volume much when coming to a stop. I usually have the volume set about 25%-30%.

The AVC works very well.  I use my radio every morning and evening to/from work and when I get into town, I needn't change the volume at all.
