ride up Honister pass Lake district uk
« on: May 02, 2015, 03:19:54 pm »
Hi Folks

Had a great ride out yesterday. Up the dales to the Lake District at Devils Bridge stopped for a for a cuppa.
From there up to Keswick another cuppa great little cafe in the car park. From there onto the B5289 into Borrowdale and onto the Honister Pass not too technical but truly a fabulous pass to go up and down with the stream running alongside. (See photos on the way up then the view looking up the road travelled downtime other side.)
Followed this to Buttermere then stopped at the Fish Inn used to camp in the farmers field and he used to knock on the tent for his rent next morning :008: Nice lunch.
After that a steady run to Cockermouth, onto Carlisle then across to Corbridge Scotch corner and home.
All told around 220mile.

Have some interesting footage from the Gopro so may get some snap shots. Still not sure how to shrink and clip videos and how to link them yet.

Hope you enjoy and it wets the appetite for summer.

Yes I will get the make tomorrow and post to you. It is a canvas cover with bendy metal frame. had it a while now but does the job.
I think a couple of guys on here have the same make. There are a few types about.
