Today, my thoughts are with those tragically affected and touched
by recent events in Waco, Texas, and with their friends and families.

    Gentlemen,
The news stories we are seeing here in the U.S. indicate that all the victims in this were members of three outlaw biker gangs. Some of the victims so "tragically affected" were also firing at police on the scene....

Yes, I read it started out with fists then escalated to knives then guns.  I'm sure they are all very proud of themselves.  :083:

That place certainly lives up to its name :087:

In the UK it would just of ended with a few broken jaws and bruised knuckles. This is what happens when guns are freely available.

Guns are always freely available to the do-bad types, and no I won't make this a long discussion either way.

To clarify, I have ZERO sympathy for anyone that pulls a gun, fires at the Police,
    and consequently ends up dead.

My thoughts are with those innocent people that have beeen affected,
whether they be relatives or friends of the deceased,
innocent bystanders that witnessed people being killed, or had to hide in terror,
and of course the Police Officers involved, who were forced to use lethal options.

    Its pronounced WakeO, not wacko.

I'd rather not to get into a gun discussion but I do note that the UK's "constitution" such as it is, is amendable by a simple majority of a Parliament elected by a first past the post system (hence not reflecting the majority of the people) and the "constitution" is therefore at the whim of a minority of the people.  Whereas in the US we have a well defined method for amending the Constitution and preserving the rights enshrined in it.  Having said that I should say that I am an Anglophile and a great admirer of most things British.  The ability to lose one's civil rights at a whim, not being one.
