audio system problems (freezing)
« on: April 22, 2013, 03:56:14 AM »
So have any of with SE's having problems with the audio system freezing up then not been found?

Third time for me know. Second time round dealer did a audio system upgrade as per factory request. Thought it was fixed as got 3 days use out of it. Today it froze again and then on restart audio system was not found.

After first time I pulled the fuse and it seemed to act as a reboot and work for a day or so after that.

Anyways just wondering if others are have similar problems.

Midland recognizes no btnext
the volume only works halfway scale
does not recognize audio files with FLAC extension in a pen
only recognizes up to 30 files with extension mp3 :005:

My audio starting freezing intermittently whilst on the move last week. Affects the radio and Ipod broadcast. The bike is currently in the dealer getting the recommended upgrade. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

Also the Headset Bluetooth doesn't recognise my Scala Rider headset. Again for the dealer to sort....

Unless your headset/helmet supports A2DP 2.1 and EDR it will not work with the Trophy no matter what "upgrade" is done to the bike. Older kit is simply not compatible. I have had a rant about this issue in an email to Triumph.

Old senas just do not work.  Not sure about newer ones.  So I bought some SMH5s and they work fine.  As said above the bike will not see the headsets unless they have the right bluetooth profiles.
