    Russell Daylong Seat & Backrest

I put a Russell Daylong seat (both driver & passenger) on my 2013 SE 2 years ago when I bought the bike, plus the drivers backrest for my aching back. Very comfortable, and she says her seat is too. Now I'm thinking seriously about moving to an adventure machine and selling the SE. Love the SE but there are a lot more gravel & dirt roads here in Arizona than paved! I've been told that I'd be better off putting the stock seats back on and selling the Russell seats separately. Would appreciate any thoughts and comments on the subject.
    Thanks,

05-26-15: I listed it on the For Sale section of the Forum and have sold the seat - thanks Rob

My experience has been that the custom seat will not add value when you sell the bike.  You can probably sell the seat for about 50 to 60% of a new custom seat.  The problem with Russell (compared to Sargent or Corbin) you have to send in your stock seat and have it built.  So now you don't have a stock seat.
With that said, I bought a Russell.
How did you end up with a stock seat?

I didn't want to be without my ride for an extended period while Russell was building my Daylong so I ordered an extra stock seat from Triumph. Turned out to be a good idea since Russell took several months to get it right. Always figured I'd just sell the extra stock seats, but now I'm glad I didn't.

Also, I have decided to sell the Russell and then sell the SE as stock.

Saw your advert over in the For Sale section ....

I think a few photographs of the seat fitted on your Trophy may help anyone thinking of buying
to make the decision - it's a lot of money to spend without seeing it first !  :028:

    Cheers  :821:

Nice seat, but, read very carefully the first 3 alineas of the home page of the seat producer.
Your length and weight is important?

I have asked for pic’s and here thy are. The seat is a nice one.

Have you sold this yet? If not I'm buying. What's your height and weight?
