    Hello Trophy Forum,

    Introducing myself to this forum.
SF Bay Area rider here, current collection of Triumph motorcycles include 97&98 Tiger 900 and recent addition of 2002 Trophy 1200.

Picked up the Trophy a few months back and the bike has 14K miles and worn Avon AV46 tires.

I've been reading reviews on the Michelin Pilot Road 4 Rear Tires since I ride year-round in both dry and wet road conditions.

My question is about rear tire size.

The "Triumph Tyre Selector" website/link handout I came across indicates these size for Front/Rear 120/70-17   170/60-17  (for 1995/96 onward)

What's the best way to find out if a slight wider rear will work, such as 180/50 x 17 or variation of rear will work?

    Appreciate any feedback

Hi there and welcome to the forum! :400:

While everyone is welcome you should probably note that this forum is primarily focused on the 2012 onwards Trophy and Trophy SE 1215 and as such our answers to your questions about the older model may be limited.

There are guys in here with the older model or who have had one so they may well try and help.

You may be better checking out TriumphRat which is dedicated to the older model and maybe a better source of advice.

Thank you for that info - perhaps some day I will upgrade to a newer model bike.

    :401:

I have yet to see a TTSE around here yet, outside of the Mtn View BMW/Triumph shop. Even my TTSE is at one of my other homes in Reno, NV, well inside Harley Country.

They do have one in stock in the Mtn. View shop in case you want to add to your collection of Triumphs. A nice blue one, like mine. By far, the fastest color!

The TTSE is my very first Triumph. Great ride. Perhaps even a bit too sporty for me.

Hi WonderTiger2X and :400: to the Forum !

As Cropbiker says this Forum is dedicated to the Trophy model released in 2012,
although everyone is welcome here,  and discussions on Triumph Models
other than the "new" Trophy can ( and should - to avoid any confusion )
be held in this Section : "On Two Wheels - Bikers Chat"
