    Crash bobbins for the TTSE?

At the moment I am on the Isle of Man with relatives to watch the trials for the TT race. As the weather is very English there is not a lot happening, so I decided to try and find a TTSE amongst the many bikes here (relatives  haven't seen one in the wild even though we have been touring Wales  and the bottom part of England for four weeks). Luck hasn't changed in that regard, but I have seen quite a few bikes fitted with  crash bobbins. Riders I have spoken to say they work well. Anyone tried them?

Half your luck Robwebb.  I was at the TT for race week last year.  Brilliant.  I only saw one Trophy there though.  As for crash bobbins, R&G Racing make bobbins for the Trophy (front wheel, handlebars, drive shaft and exhaust) to go with the Adventure Bars.  This is a link to all their Trophy products:  http://www.rg-racing.com/browseBike/Triumph/Trophy_1200/2015.aspx

I totally agree. I'd also love to go, but the Irish Sea is a long way from here.

David: you start with one week on the Isle of Man for the TT and then go and visit sunny Corsica!

Robwebb I'm on the Island as well, staying in Ballacraine. Arrive six days ago to enjoy the island before the madness begins. Great that they made the mountain one way on Saturday. But it's a shame that idoits get it closed within hours and one kills them self.

love the south and the views from the The Sound. Hope to see you around don't leave until 8th
1st bike Yamaha DT125, 2nd bike Yamaha XV535 Virago 3rd bike Honda CBR 1000 F, 4th bike Honda Hornet 600 (story to tell) 5th bike Suzuki B-King 1300, 6th bike Suzuki GSX1250 FA. Then comes the cream of them all the TTSE in Blue the best colour in my opinion ....... :-)

Far too busy sucking up the atmosphere to read the forum, so I did not know there was a TTSE on the island. Found the crappy weather to be quite benificial as it gave me the opportunity to speak with a lot of riders, including racers and their teams. Absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately we had to leave last night as we are heading to France. Sorry to have missed you GJ-Trophy.  Did get to see a couple of hours of serious practice and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Saw a lot of bikes with bobbins, but only one with bars as well. Decided that the TTSE would not work with bobbins alone as they would not protect the gear and brake leavers.
Completely off the topic, but for those with a son in law.... Mine is an area manager for Aprilia Australia  who is currently in Sydney explaining the many merits of the new models to hoards of tyre kickers. Loves his job so I am sure he is having lots of fun. Thought I might cheer him up even more by sending a few pictures. Even got one of a compeditors Aprilia. Sure he will appreciate the thought.
