Well chaps, unfortunately TiTSE just wasn't for me and after the 2nd time of putting her down (only this time with my son on the back) I have taken the decission to get rid.

I am now the owner of a Triumph Thunderbird 1600 which is soooooo much better for me, lower centre of gravity. Its a shame really as i loved the SE with all it gadgets, bells and whistles but i sh*t myself when it went down this time. My own fault really, didnt check the route i had planned on the sat nav and ended up on a single track road on a steep incline with cr4p in the middle of the road when a car cam round a blind bend. I stopped OK but with the hill i was on and the momentum of the rebound of the suspension i started sliding down the hill with full front brake locked on and if i didnt let it go i believe there would have been an injury or 2. It didnt help either that my lad is Autistic and I was expecting issues with him climbing back on board but he shown me he was brave and got back on thankfully as we were miles from home (On the ROR weekend and I live 170 miles away)

So after a visist to Staffordshire Triumph and a test ride on a beautiful customised Thunderbird i was hooked, money discussed and the deal was done.

Your a great bunch and I wish you all the very best with your SE's.

Shiny side up guys and always remember, check your routes on the Sat Nav

Good move Oggy, sounds like you made the right choice.  Riding with your son is a blessing and safety is an onerous responsibility on a Dad.

I've ridden may miles with my son on Harley Electra Glides; when I moved to the Dark Side, his words not mine, I asked him if he wanted to come out for a ride, he said:

"You bought the Honda, you ride it!"

    Later

    Dave
    Love, light, and kindness,

is a shame but you must be happy with the bike and above all safe. What you don't want is a "what if" in the back of your mind as this just destroys confidence. Ride safe and enjoy the new ride.  :028:

Sorry to hear of your decision and latest spill. But agree ride what is best and safest.

At least you have another great triumph marque. :158: :028:

I certainly understand your feelings concerning the lower COG on the T-bird. All the best but come back and visit every now and then!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.
