See, we are closer to each other than some may think!.... The helmet is an Arai Chaser V, not easy to find in France.

Angleterre is a hamlet of the small town of Anderville, this hamlet was first called "Les Cornets", I could not find any explanation why it was changed to its current name, or when?

This village of Andeville lived a very painful episode on the eve of the Liberation in 1944. While the German retreat accelerates, a German soldier, posing as a deserter, managed to get in touch with local resistants, members of the maquis of Chambly. After a few days, this soldier flees away and returns Aug. 27, 1944, accompanied by a SS troop.  All men of the village are gathered and 16 of them are shot on the spot including Mr. Georges Petit the then Mayor.
