    Problems with blutooth audio output to Sena

    Hi everybody

    Having an issue I'm hoping some of the forum experts can help with. Wife and I took trip Az to Rocky Pt Mexico(very nice). We both have Sena SMH-10 units which we communicate to each other with just fine. Linked both units to the TTSE blutooth so we could listen to XM radio. Even though TTSE shows each Sena uploaded we are unable to get any music thru either Sena unit. Radio thru speakers working fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thx
    Dirk

    I have no experience of using Sena equipment, but I have had a quick glance thorugh the SMH-10 manual,
    which describes two ways of connecting the Sena to the Bluetooth device ( Trophy ) -
    so make sure you connect it to the Trophy as a HEADSET ( HEADSET 1 ) and not a Device ( DEVICE 2 ).

    With some Bluetooth helmet systems, ( after sucessfully Pairing ),
    when the Trophy Audio and Helmet are switched on and the connection is made,
    an extra button press on the Headset is needed to initiate reception of the audio,
    so check the Manual and a few seconds after switching everything on, try pressing the Jog button ?

    Hope this helps - if not there ae a few SMH-10 users on the Forum who should be able to help  :169:

    Cheers  :821:

    I have the SMH-10 set up as follows:

    My headset is paired to Headset 1 I can hear music from either radio or iPhone connected in USB;
    my wife's headset is paired to my headset as an intercom;
    I stream the music, radio, etc through my headset to her (during intercom press the big round jog button until two quick beeps are heard).

    I've turned off voice to talk as wind would continually activate my wife's system; so I press to talk once to engage the haranguing from the 'cheese and kisses' on rear seat  :001:. To cease haranguing I stream music, radio noise etc to rear seat.....simple :062:

    End result Pillion in a Million and I are happy. :106: :730:

    Both our Senas are setup as phone pairing and we can stream music to both simultaneously.

    When first starting the bike if the audio does not come up, press and hold the jog dial until you get two beeps then release it and you will get the prompt "media connected" and in a second or two the audio will come through the headset.  Mine is 3 years old or more and I have to go through that sequence when first starting it, but it will automatically connect on subsequent stops the rest of the day.  I guess I need to just wait it out one time and see if it ever connects by itself if given enough time when starting out on a ride.  Hope this helps.

    Thanks Travelling2bob  :152:

    Your solution worked like a charm. When you are listening to music and not the other source of entertainment, when you press the jog dial for intercom to talk do you press and hold again to get the 2 beeps for music, or does it resume play on it's own?

    When you cancel the intercom connection the audio will return in a second or two.

    Once you've finished talking press and hold the jog button thingy until you hear two quick beeps. If you don't no music etc will be streamed to the other device/headset.

    Enjoy mate  :028:
