    New to Triumph

    Hello, everyone!
     :001:
I'm delighted to join this forum today and even more delighted to say that I picked up a '13 TTSE last week from a private seller (w/5k miles).

This is my first Triumph; my previous two rides were Hondas -- I learned on a little Rebel 250, and in the garage presently is my '97 Magna VF750C (it deserves a new home  :161:).

I've put about 400 miles on the Trophy so far, and I'm in awe how comfortable it is. It's like a freakin sports car with its own special air conditioning! The previous owner had some sort of dog-bones put on it that apparently lowers the suspension, as well as a Triumph low-rider seat; other than that, besides not having heated seats and front mudguard extender, it's stock loaded. And fantastic! I'm loving it so far.  :152:

I'm not so mechanically inclined, so I'm taking it today to have the gear and engine oil changed and discuss with the technician about putting a regular (or comfort) seat on it and possibly returning the suspension to stock. I will also ask whether applicable TSBs have been serviced -- does anyone reading this know whether dealers can quickly talk to one another about VINs and service history?

Any tips for a newbie are appreciated!

Firstly welcome to the forum and your new purchase :400:

Usually in the UK a genuine dealer can normally access the vehicle vin number and that should bring up information for that vehicle. Not sure how it works in the USA. But the service record should have the last dealer in so you could check with them.

Welcome to the forum. I think you have the best bike out there at the moment.  But I'm biased  :400:

Welcome. As Seadog stated, any triumph dealer will be able to run the vin number and will know what TSB's have been done or not. If any are still open, you can have it done.

Cheers to everyone for all the welcomes! I'm so gleeful over the bike and this warm welcome, if we were in a pub I'd order up a pitcher or two to share!  :821:

I looked through the "New Owner Checklist" thread (I think!) and don't see any checklist.  What am I missing?   :187:
