What is the trip with this board?
« on: April 24, 2013, 08:13:03 AM »
I have notice that for every post there are hundreds of viewings, but like under 10 replies.

I was just wondering about that: lots of lurking? Lots of rookies who don't know what to say? Lots of prospective buyer?

Seems kind of weird

In my experience it is always the way with these types of forums. The minority post, the majority read.........

On the other hand I think it is better that the replies are of good quality than just trying to get the post count higher.

It would be good for more people to feel they can post especially if they are thinking of getting/got a Trophy.

Saw a silver one today going past Leicester Forest East south bound but I was onthe sprint?

On the other other hand was this post just for the sake of posting?????

When there is 6 post on a thread, and 600 viewings, I am guessing there must be people in the batch of 600 that has something important to say about the topic.

...or, it could be we are being inundated by enemy forces seeking intelligence on the TT community. Ah! that's probably it. No wonder there have been a of fork seal bursting. Its a conspiracy. I bet the fork seals are being attacked by the Beemer clandestine cells working from within

If I don't know the answer, if I can't offer a constructive suggestion.  I don't reply just to say I don't know.  However, I am pleased that the forum is being reviewed by so many seeking/learning information about their new bike.
Best regards; Art

Does it matter?

One of the main reasons for these forums is to give information, ideas and solutions. It is perfectly possible and reasonable for people to receive all of this without having to contribute themselves.

I also agree that the issue is quality not quantity.
