Thanks for another fantastic how-to mgmoto!

FWIW for other members, my TTSE is a 2015 - followed this guide along with the Triumph instructions, and had no problems with the install, and I am getting a fully functional heated grip indicator on the dash.  I did NOT have to get it activated by a dealer.
    2015 TTSE.  It's blue.

Thank you for the additional instructions.  I had to replace the left heated grip, account of the wires having been pinched off.  When I installed the new one I noticed how close the wires were to to the handle bar coming out of the grip.  It seemed to me the drill and tap for the mounting screws should have been about a 1/8 inch counter clockwise from where they are.  I am guessing that after 60,000 miles of me pushing and pulling on the grip managed to twist the grip enough to break the wires.  I took the preventive measure of filing some metal off the bar to give the wire some extra space.  Hope not to have the experience of it being 37 degrees F and having no left heated grip. :190:

Thanks for the guide. Got mine in the mail 6 days early and installed them today no problem. I had this guide and the manual pulled up on my tablet and just switched back and forth. I have a 2017 and the icon showed right up. Also finished my cell phone mount up to the GPS mount. I'll get pictures of that to share soon

As relatively recent owner of a TTSE, I have ridden it long enough to really start to miss those lovely heated grips....  My previous bike (BMW R1200RT) had both heated grips and seat which are a must have here in Wisconsin....  I was able to locate the correct kit for my 2014 TTSE from a dealer in Canada (Andre Joyal Motoneige Inc) which arrived quite quickly.  Thanks to mgmoto, coconut, volify and the others who have contributed tips and tricks to make this job a breeze for the owner to tackle and save quite a bit $$ compared to dealer install.

The tip, I would like to contribute involves the connection of the plastic terminals to the grip wires.  I tried to insert the wires into the terminal blocks as directed and was not able to get them to seat correctly.  I trimmed back the outer protective cover about a 1/2 inch to get some more room to work with.  I locked the plastic connection blocks to the bikes wire loom and then slid the wire into the block using a small needle nose pliers.  This method worked well VS struggling with the connectors attaching to the wires.  I was also able to clearly see that the blue common wire went to the blue wire from the grip.  I do understand that the instructions said, they can hook up either way, but it was nice to maintain the factory appearance!

No luck on my particular 2014 working the dash icons but everything about the grip works well.  Next time I am at the dealer, I will ask for a dash reset.

    Hope this helps,
    HARFEND
