At last, the time has come. Setting off on Thursday for Slovenia , Croatia and Montenegro. After some major hassles with overnight trains, after the Dutch operator we booked on from Holland to Slovenia ceased operating we are now sailing from Hull to Rotterdam, riding to Dusseldorf. Overnight train to Vienna and a day riding through Austria to arrive in Bled, Slovenia on late Monday afternoon. Then 2 weeks touring. Going with another couple also on a blue Trophy. Hurry up tomorrow! :001:

I clearly have fat fingers - arriving Bled on Saturday afternoon. Doesn't take that long to cross Austria!

We booked direct with the rail operator so it was "interesting" chasing for our money, but eventually repaid in full. Austrian rail service is actually best part of £400 cheaper for the 4 of us so that will pay for a few drinks!

Always amuses me when a Brit refers to Europe as if it were a different continent.  You know the old newspaper headlines "Fog in Channel, Continent isolated!"  :008:
