First service
« on: April 24, 2013, 11:56:36 PM »
Just picked my Trophy SE up from its first service yesterday. No issues to report. Cost me $180USD and change. Bike was running and washed when I went outside to ride it home. Thanks NC YAM/Triumph! They told me bring it in in 9500 miles. Also said to check the fluids periodically. Sounds easy....

That's a great price, mine was over $300, and must have had gold dust in the oil at over $20 per litre. West Oz is most expensive State in most expensive country.

Here in Paris area, labor is not free; i.e. not included in the motorbike price! I had to pay 65€ for one hour.
Engine oil at 16,90€/L
Shaft oil at 12,00€/L

Total amount is about 140€

Same than K6gad, I have been asked to come back at 16.000 kms, and to check the fluids periodically.

Service was perfect, done on Saturday afternoon offering, that I got, a test ride with Tiger 800 to not have to wait…   :062:

Perfect service received from Diagonal Triumph Montesson! All dealers should be like that! :047:

Things must be different in the States!
My first service cost £49.37 ($76.55 at today's exchange rate!)
The dealer charged only for parts (Oil, filter and a sealing washer)
There was  no labour charge.

For first service are you meaning the 500 mile service?  If so the dealer didn't charge me anything for the first oil change and go over.
Best regards; Art
