I have an intermittent Bluetooth problem with the TTSE to GPS 590 Bluetooth connection. The 590 screen will display that the connection connects and disconnects. It connects and disconnects about every 30 seconds.
     Sena to TTSE Headset 1
    590 to Device 1
    iPhone to 590
590 audio out plugged into TTSE radio

    thanks

The way I understand it, the helmet should be headset 1 and the phone should be device 1.  The Garmin should not be connected via bluetooth but rather through its audio out into the radio harness.

    ZShyster may have it .....

There may be a conflict having the 590 connected by Bluetooth AND via the hard wired Audio jack,
causiing the BT connection to drop out and keep trying to reconnect.

    Try one or the other.

If you want to use the 590 for it's ability to Make Phone calls, and use it's Touch Screen interface to do so,
then leave the Phone paired to the 590, but remove the Bluetooth connection from the 590 to the Trophy "Device 1".

If you're not interested in making calls via the 590, and want to receive them using the Handlebar buttons
to Accept or Reject incoming calls, then pair your phone as "Device 1"  instead  :028:

    Cheers  :821:

My configuration is the iPhone plugged into USB port for music playback.

iPhone paired to my 590 as a telephone

590 paired to the Bluetooth module of my headset as headset.

    TTSE Bluetooth switched off.

590 plugged into TTSE audio input.

Audio out unit spliced into speakers of TTSE and plugged into audio in socket on headset unit

I get music from iPhone via the TTSE. Phone calls accepted automatically by 590. Calls made when appropriate from 590 touch screen accessing last 4 calls or directly accessing iPhone contact book.

Nav instructions when I want them over the Bluetooth from 590 to headset module

If all also fails I would unpaid everything and start again. I found connecting phone first and then headset worked best.

Thanks ZShyster I removed the 590 pairing to Device 1. Now I have everything XM, FM USB and NAV from the TTSE but phone. I have the IPhone paired to the
    590 for the Garmin App.

    Sena to TTSE Headset 1
    iPhone to 590
590 audio out plugged into TTSE radio

Going to try and dual pair the iPhone to Device 1 and the 590. Will the iPhone pair to 2 devices at the same time?

    Thanks

    OHRider,

I could not get the configuration you describe to work on my 660 garmin.

If I want to use the garmin phone call features, I have to cut the bike out completely and pair my helmet and phone to the garmin and leave the bike radio off and out of the loop.  This allows me to play recorded music off of my garmin, answer and make calls off the garmin, and adjust volume on my helmet.

I found if I want to use the bike audio, I have to limit myself to answering calls only using the configuration I described in my earlier posting.  I also found the clarity and consistency of the bluetooth signals to be better using the garmin and cutting the bike out.

    Good Luck

I seriously doubt that your phone will pair to 2 separate devices at the same time, BUT your Sena will.  Pair the phone to the Sena and it will set reception priorities as described in the instructions or the on-line user manual.  Pair your helmet to the Trophy like you have it(phone pairing), then if you do not want to use I-tunes, selectively pair your phone to the helmet as if it is a phone (then the jog dial will not control phone music).  If you do want to be able to access I-tunes on the phone, then just pair it as phone, which is how I presume you have the helmet paired to the Trophy.  My phone was not selectively paired to the helmet and it kept changing to the tunes on the phone instead of the bike audio when I used the jog dial to initiate the Trophy audio reception in the helmet.  Digging around in the users manual revealed the issue.  According to the instructions the Sena will pair to a lot of different items at the same time, but I've never paired my automotive type GPS to the helmet to see if it works.  I don't usually set courses to ride, I just take off and go, but I like to see where the road may lead before I change directions.
