sat nav mount/bracket not big enough part covers display
« on: April 27, 2013, 07:02:45 PM »
Hi All

Garmin zumo 550
Just had the genuine  triumph sat nav mount fitted to my bike ,problem is you have to be 8ft tall so you can see the top of the display and then the sun get the sat nav screen so you can not see it,
Or you tilt it forward so it looks square on to you but then the bottom section of the sat nav  covers the top quarter of the display screen.
It fits from the triumph mount straight on to a back plate with 4 holes.

Can any body help with pictures etc so i can show my dealer :148:

The Zumo 660 fits perfectly with none of those problems.
Might as well as wish we had.

Using same satnav. Mount using two bolts only, top in the triumph mount and bottom in the garmin mount. This clears the screen perfectly and clears the screen even on the lowest position. Mine has been fitted this way since day one and after 3500+ miles to date no problem.
Try it it works  :062:

Forget the Triumph mount.

Use these guys

http://www.telferizer.com

I have no business connections with this company in anyway shape or form.

The way they do it "works".

Cheers
