What to expect from our Triumph Dealers

When talking to his Triumph dealer about trading in his 2013 Trophy for a smaller , newer bike , the dealer was not interested in any deal that included taking back the Trophy. They told him it would be too difficult to sell.
In my opinion this is a bad way to treat your customers.
    My advice: Forget this dealer.

Absolutely time to find a new dealer!!! And as far as I know this is uncharacteristic of Triumph dealers.  My brother who is a dealer for Triumph, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki absolutely loves to take in used Triumphs.  :028:

Mine will accept just about anything in trade.  Even if they don't keep it to sell there is a used all brands dealer in Texas that would take it off their hands and they also just happen to sell new Indians.  My K1600 with 1438 miles on it came from there at a nice discount.

My dealer expressly asked me to bring it back to him should I wish to sell it.

Since my dealer has only sold one, and it was a my leftover '14 that sat on the floor for a year.  Doubt they will offer much in trade for it.
The BMW bikes carry the status symbol so folks choose them Even though they cost 6 grand more comparibly equipped.

it really depends on inventory, last year i was looking for a used trophy that already had the acc's i wanted and the dealers i went to both wanted to discount the 2014's instead of selling me their used bikes. the dealers around here can't keep used trophy's in and while the trophys base price is fair triumphs acc's prices can push the bikes out of reach.
