First MOT?
« on: July 15, 2015, 01:41:18 pm »
My Trophy was one of the Pre-launch machines so it was due for MOT on 20th July - I took it today

It passed :028:  BUT with an advisory  :173:- Front Brake uneven at low speed
I had the discs etc replaced for this problem last year under warranty

Staffs Triumph believe that as the parts are warrantied for 2 years I should get the job done again under warranty. All well and good but it does make me wonder about the design/discs/quality control for this element. Everything else is fine so why this problem again??? :027:
Now got Black TTSE
Used to have Pre-Launch Trophy - lowest recorded Trophy VIN
Why Threeup? Me, SWMBO and her bear (Fredbear)

I had the same issue on a BMW RT and it was not warped discs but "material transfer" from OEM pads.   Changed pads and cleaned disc with brake cleaner and plastic "wire" brush mounted on a drill.  Problem solved.
At slow speeds it really grabbed, made me look like it was my first time riding a bike.
Good luck.

I changed pads on mine (at 50,000kms) and any pulsing that was there went away soon after, never to return. Some heavy brake use seems to clear it up.

Interesting - we'll have to see what happens when they test the run-out on the discs next week

The last time it was definitely an issue with the discs
