I want to thank towersk, and all members who contribute to this forum.  I returned home from my first service yesterday and noticed that the cruise control was not working  :157:.  During the first service, the dealer installed my top box and heated grips.  I figured there was a possibility that when they installed the heated the cruise control needed to be reset.  I came to the forum and did a search and sure enough I found directions to reset the cruise control which was posted by towesk.

The ECM does a lot fail safe checks for the cruise control and will disable the cruise control if it thinks there is a fault.

There is a procedure to reset the cruise control software:

The conditions are Ignition key on (engine not running) and cruise control switched off :
The switches should be activated one at a time in sequence
Activate front brake switch
Activate rear brake switch
Activate clutch switch
Activate twist grip switch (push the throttle in the closed position)
Activate cruise on/off switch
Activate cruise accelerate switch
Activate cruise decelerate switch

I followed the procedure and it work!  Saved me a trip back to the dealer, for sure  :046:.

Any other Easter eggs....

One of the more useful is being able to display any Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC's )
on your Instrument Panel without needing any additional equipment.

Have a look here for instructions : Servicing Data and Reference Information
and note there is a Word document ( Trophy DTC.doc ) at the end of the most recent Post,
which you can download - this gives a description for each of the DTC's  :028:

Cheers  :821:
