Hello from Airdrie, Alberta, Canada
« on: August 19, 2015, 10:06:15 pm »
Have taken the Trophy for 2 test rides this year courtesy of our local Triumph dealer. The SE model is going to be my new motorcycle as I thoroughly enjoyed riding this machine. Only complaint was excessive heat due to stop and go urban traffic in 100F weather.  But that doesn't really affect my affection for the Trophy as I will be purchasing for long distance touring which is my passion. It is late in the motorcycling season in Canada to try and sell my current motorcycles so the purchase will have to wait until next spring. Anyways will post a picture once my purchase is complete. This October marks my 47th year of riding motorcycles. It's a love affair that has only grown stronger as the years roll on. Take care all and ride safe.

Welcome to the forum, BMC55! You're in beautiful country up there.  Despite the recent heat, it's often :190:, eh?

Congrats on the new acquisition! Is it a '13, '14 or '15?

A 2015 if I can find left over stock at a good price. If not a 2016. Hopefully if there is a price bump it won't be too drastic. Our dollar is in the cellar now with a federal election looming. Will have to see how the rich and powerful view the new government and how it will affect our dollar. I retired a year ago and want to put some miles on a new Trophy.

Welcome aboard!  Don't wait too long - like you said, it's late in the riding season (not really sure what that means...).  :001:
