Hello Trophy Forum
« on: August 23, 2015, 05:57:02 pm »
I picked up a 2014 Trophy SE yesterday with all of 3750 miles on it.  :001:
I've read over the owners manual, although it seem to bounce back and forth between pages.  :084:

Is there a set of step-by-step instructions available for setting up profiles, etc.?

I look forward to learning about the Trophy on this forum.  :152:

Regards
Dave

Hi Dave
And  :400: to the forum
I know what your going through as far as setting up your bike ,it took me some time to get the hang of it . Best way I found is to plug your bike into a battery tender, turn on to program and go through the owners book to learn how to program your setting .

I know exactly what you mean about the Handbook -
It's not the easiest document in the world to Navigate !

The procedure is fairly straight forward, it's just not as easy to explain in words !

A Profile can store the following settings :

  • Triumph Electronic Suspension ( TES ) Mode - 3 Modes to select from : SPORT, NORMAL & COMFORT
  • TES Loading - 3 Modes to choose from : 1 UP, 1 UP + Luggage & 2 UP
  • Triumph Traction Control ( TTC ) - 2 Modes to choose from : ON or OFF
  • Headlight - vertical position anywhere between lowest and highest settings.

It can be useful to store 2 different Profiles if, for example, you regularly switch between riding Solo,
when you might select Profile 1 that is set to :
TES Mode - NORMAL / TES Loading - 1 UP /  TTC On / Headlight set for your preference,
and riding with  a Pillion where you might have Profile 2 set to :
TES Mode - Comfort / TES Loading - 2 UP / TTC ON / Headlight set lower to compensate.

To set the Parameters saved in one of the Profiles :

  • With the motorcycle stationery and in Neutral - Press and hold the Select button until SETTINGS is displayed
  • Scroll to PROFILE 1 or PROFILE 2 and press Select
  • Scroll to EDIT and Press Select to display the ADJUSTMENT Screen
  • Scroll to the Item to be adjusted, e.g TES Mode and press Select
  • Scroll to the desired setting for the item being adjusted and press Select to save that setting and exit
  • Repeat the process for other desired settings ( TES Loading, TTC On or Off and Headlight adjustment )
  • When adjusting the Headlight 1 "bar" is for lowest beam and 10 "bars" is for highest beam.
  • Select EXIT from the Adjustment Screen

After setting the Parameters, either Profile can be loaded by :
  • the motorcycle stationery and in Neutral - Press and hold the Select button until SETTINGS is displayed
  • Scroll to PROFILE 1 or PROFILE 2 and press Select
  • Scroll to LOAD and press Select - that Profile will be loaded.
  • Scroll to Exit and press Select.

Note that any adjustments / alterations made to TES / TTC / Headlight after Loading a Profile,
do not change the settings saved in that Profile, but are saved as the "Current" profile.

Hope that helps  :028:

Welcome to the forum, Dave, from just a few hours south!  Take some time browsing through the forum, and use the search feature to find out whatever you need to know.  There's answers to almost every question you might have, but if you don't find what you're looking for, post up!  And heed anything Coconut has to say.  He just knows stuff!  Ride safe!

Hi Dave.  CONGRATS!!!  :400:

I just recently joined the forum myself last week.  I think your '14 TTSE available from a dealer in Fresno is the same one I was looking at before I got my "leftover" from Cal Moto in Mt. View (originally located in Livermore).   Did you get your very low mileage SE with a top box included?  I got a great deal.  How about you?

I look forward to reading about your first impressions on your new bike.
