    Low oil pressure warning?

Just bought a 2014 SE. Getting ready for the first service. 600 miles, when ridden slowly in 90'F temps I see a "Low Oil Pressure Warning" on the screen but no red light on the gauge. Is this nornal with the break-in oil still in the bike?

Not normal. Where is the oil level in the sight gauge?

When the bike is level and warmed up, the oil level shows towards the top of the sight glass.

It should only take a day or two to get those first 500 miles done -
when the 1st service is due to change that oil, so tell the Dealer of this and get them to check -
you may have a faulty Oil pressure sensor that needs changing under warranty  :028:

When I got the low pressure warning on the LCD screen the red  low pressure light on the speedo never illuminated. As a matter of fact the only time that red light illuminates is when you turn the key on and before you crank the bike over. It never turns on again, even when you induce a slow speed, clutch dragging stall.

My dealer has confirmed the light's operation by comparing it to another Trophy SE that they have in stock. red light will only come on with the key on before the engine is running.

Can anyone else confirm a similar red light operation?

      Thanks in advance...

I believe you are correct about the red "idiot"  light on the tach's dial face, but apparently the low oil pressure warning on the LCD is independently controlled.  The question is which one to believe. I hope your servicing dealer figures it out and if so, please let us know.

Well it certainly isn't normal and I wouldn't be riding that bike very much until determined whether it is simply a faulty sending unit as Coconut suggest or much more serious such as a faulty pump or clogged galleries.  If you truly don't have oil circulating then it won't take but a short ride to destroy the engine.
