Breakdown-Hight temp warning.

I've had a breakdown. Whilst on a tour and just pulled up at my accommodation my hight temp warning light came on. I got off the bike, heard a funny gurgling sound and a puddle of water/liquid appeared under the bike. Very fortunately my breakdown happened within a mile of my dealer whom I contacted straight away. I took the bike round and they were able to work on it right away. Apparently there are 2 fans and one had seized completely. That wasn't a problem whilst the bike was moving but once in the city and stuck in traffic with no air flow the engine overheated.
Credit to my dealer, Shirlaws Aberdeen who got on the case immediately. They've already got a new fan to fit when I can go back round. Luckily, I've about 6 weeks of warranty left so it won't cost me anything.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Did you notice the coolant temp segmented display creeping up on the LCD to all segments On before the high temp warnuing occurred?

I too have a 2013 but no overheating problem. Haven't seemed to hear much about cooling fan issues with the Trophy, so maybe yours is just a rare issue. Glad to hear that your dealer was able to get you up and running so quickly. Kudo's to your dealer for taking care of you in such a timely manner.

No, didn't notice the segmented display increasing, just the red high temp light came on suddenly.

I got caught in construction this summer in St Louis Missouri. Outside temp hit 99 degrees and it was stop and go 5 mph for quite a while. Temperature bar raised up 1 over normal, fans stayed on, everything passed the test. Thumbs up for the Trophy.

There have been a few Members that have reported a Cooling fan seized,
or a faulty relay that operates them, but only a handful - so it doesn't seem to be a "common" problem.

I had this problem on my 2013 bike. As you say, there are 2 cooling fans. In my case, a relay that kicks in one of the cooling
fans was duff. It was replaced, FOC when the bike was around 3 months out of warranty
