Beeping on ignition start
« on: September 17, 2015, 07:33:32 pm »
Ok this is a bit of a weird one and one I'll admit that Ive even considered that Im imagining things but....

On occasion when I start the bike moments after I get a quiet beeping sound from the headstock area. It doesn't last long, maybe 5 faint beeps (while wearing earplugs and helmet) then gone. So not long enough to pin point.
Occurs occasionally during normal start process...alarm off, key in, turn key, wait for usual suspension reading on dash, start bike with stereo on, continue faffing about plugging in dash cam and putting gloves etc on.

Questions:
1 Anyone else come across this?
2 Am i just imagining it or going slightly mad  :008: :112:

I vote for mad, but I've worked around jet engines for 25 years so if its very faint, I might not have heard it.

I have not heard of any such Beeps being produced by the Trophy.

Could they be coming from your Dash Cam - alerting you that it's now Up annd Running,
or that the Memory is almost full,  the battery is low, or other such alert ?

Do you have any other add on electrical items that could be doing this ?

Try starting the bike up a few times with your helmet off
and see if you that helps to pinpoint where the noise is coming from  :028:

Cheers  :821:

Thanks guys, I think I'll go with mad too lol

I've tried starting without the helmet on but haven't heard anything. May be coincidental from the stereo?? Definitely not the dash cam as its not usually on until I'm about to go. Haven't heard it this week so will see how it goes.
