    No longer a TTSE owner

I just traded in my Trophy for a new HD Street Glide. Things I will miss: 1. Getting 300 mi. to a tank of fuel. 2. Storage capacity. 3. Horsepower! 4. Long service intervals 5. Horsepower! 6. Power windshield. 7. A suspension.
Things I won't miss: 1. Wondering if it will start each day. 2. Living 2.5 hours from the nearest dealer for warranty work. 3. The plastic rattling on every bump. 4. Being stuck in one seating position for the entire trip. 5. The horrible stereo. 6. The lack of aftermarket parts. 7. Not engaging 2nd gear fairly regularly. 8. Not being able to ride because I forgot to plug it in the day before.
With that said, the TTSE is a great bike... Just not for me. Maybe if I lived closer to a dealer or wouldn't have had battery issues (stereo) and a dealer knew what i was talking about when I mentioned the stereo update maybe I would've kept her. Oh well I'm happy now even though I lost my ass because of her horrible trade in value.
Keep the shiny side up guys!

    Enjoy your new bike.

I love my TTSE.  Came from HD Electra Glide via Kawasaki GTR and there is nothing I miss about Harley ownership.  I rode 400,000 miles on mainly Electra Glides and loved all the Sizzle that went with the Sausage.  When I say I miss nothing about HD ownership I refer to the bike (Sausage) but as Director of the local Chapter the 'Sizzle' that is the social side was brilliant.

The HD Glide I like is now between 21 and 31K!  I can buy two TTSE's for that.

Of course all this is irrelevant we have choices and I for one am glad I have a TTSE and I hope you like your Street Glide as much as I like my TTSE.

    Later

    Dave

Sorry to hear of your generally unfavorable experience with the TTSE.  I think your Triumph dealer is more to blame, as here in the U.S. dealers are just not as supportive as they should be with respect to this model.  However, THIS forum has been a wealth of information on the bike, its issues, and how to resolve them ourselves.  For example, thanks to some very knowledgeable members here, the infamous radio battery drain problem is an easy "DIY" fix.  Nevertheless, there is absolutely no excuse for an "authorized" dealer's inability to resolve this issue under the warranty.

I hope Triumph is reading this and WAKES UP to the cancer developing within their dealership network before it becomes fatal.   They have a great product, but it is needlessly suffering a bad reputation only because of their own ineptitude.   :138:

Sorry to see you go - shame that the US Triumph Dealer seems to have been the main cause of you leaving.

Stay safe - whatever you ride  :028:
