I must know all the wrong people

Just got back to the States late Tuesday from London.  I was pulled out of the boarding line for a TSA requested secondary screening.  Second time I've been under extra scrutiny.  I e-mailed a friend that used to be a specially certified dive instructor and told him I think it's his fault!  I honestly don't know anyone else I associate with that could be the reason.  Do not try to reply to this message, I may need it to self destruct after 5 seconds.  :156:

It's a numbers game IMO. I wouldn't take it personally. That fact your record now shows 2 x secondary screenings and nothing to report should mean you are good to go for some time. Then again... you might just be F*cked from here going forward.

Keeping in mind the total incompetence of US security which has been demonstrated by tests conducted recently, no one should be surprised when the unnecessary anal probe occurs. Asking the Brits to take part in their idiocy is no excuse. So, it is either pay for a corporate jet ride (they don't have to deal with crap the lesser breeds endure) or hitch a ride on a freighter (as in boat) or maybe sign on as crew on a sailing yacht.

And if you are lucky enough to get on board without physical pain there is the chance their lithium iron batteries catch fire and kill the crew and passengers in a matter of minutes. Two air freighters, one in South China Sea, one in Arab Gulf area, both crews dead before they hit the deck (established by toxicology tests done on the corpses), another crew barely made it to land in the Philippines. Boeing's latest Dream Liner catches fire in Japan, cannot explain but their fix was to vent the batteries to outside the fuselage for the next fire. Recent card scanner goes up in smoke this week and crew stuffs it into a box then use fire extinguisher. Emergency landing. My bet is the missing Malaysian plane had a shipment of these batteries or the plane had some that smoked everyone before the crew could correct and the passengers never knew what was going on. Yet the US media say there has never been such a battery fire in a commercial plane. I've been on forums where more knowledgable people state they will not charge any lithium battery unless it is in a stone or steel fire place. I've noticed that when charging two Nikon camera batteries one gets much warmer than the other. WTF? And the dweebs of the world would have me believe motorcycling is dangerous.

They are just trying to get you to pony up the money for the prescreening process you can participate in.  Expedited security checks for those who are willing to pay.

Most of my work travel is within the continental US.  I usually ride a bike unless it is winter and I am going north.
