Scala Rider Q2 (not the Q2 Pro)
« on: May 08, 2013, 12:01:14 AM »
Has anyone figured out a way to pair the Scala Rider Q2 (not the Q2 Pro) to the Trophy.  I simply cannot get the bike to recognize the headset.  I can get the bike to recognize the iphone.  I can even get the bike to recognize the Scala as a device (but NOT as a headset).  I can pair the Iphone to the bike to play tunes but then the phone also comes over the speakers, of course with no way for me to answer.  Or I can plug the iphone into the USB port to play tunes over the radio and link my Scala to the phone.  However the Scala Q2 doesn't have blue tooth to mp3 capability.  To listen to tunes over the Scala I have to use a jack wire.  I was hoping that the Trophy would give me a way around this.  Any ideas?

I have got the same Scala Rider Q2, and haven't had any success either. The Trophy has Bluetooth version 2.1 +EDR, and a google check shows this is backward compatible with previous versions. The Q2 is version 2.0 according to the book, so should work.

I have to admit that as soon as I start reading the connecting instructions,   :084:,:112: is what happens. Let me know if you get it going, I'll do the same.

I don't have this setup as i use Sena but I think you need to change the Trophy from speakers to headset which you do in the audio menu. Hope this helps.
Might as well as wish we had.

Thanks for that but I've already tried that.  The problem is that the Trophy does not recognize the Scala Rider Q2.  At least not as a headset.  When I setup the headset function on the Trophy it keeps telling me that there is no headset available.  Even though the Scala is one foot away in the pairing mode.

Triumph have informed me that the Trophy REQUIRES headsets to be A2DP 2.1 AND EDR capable in order to work with its bluetooth system. Earlier versions will not work.

Wonder what the market for used headsets is?
