A last hurrah
« on: October 24, 2015, 04:52:06 am »
I took advantage of the sunny days this week and made another run to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The fall colors are amazing this year. Some of the brightest oranges and reds I have seen for several years. Most of the color was in the valleys as the trees at the higher elevations were already bare. I would say maybe another week of color unless a rain or wind storm finishes things off.

I went through the Smokeys on the 19 and then ran up the Parkway on the 20.  It was pretty good but I'd seen better when I was in law school at Lexington VA (just off the BRP).  Then today I came down through West Virginia and over.  Spectacular.  What a difference a week makes!!!!!!!!!
