    Hello to All :

I'm Jim from west Michigan, former from southeast Michigan.  I own a few older bikes including a '76 Moto Guzzi Convert, '83 GL1100I and my main bike, a '98 ST1100 that I ride mostly when I'm doing IBA rides.

I'm not planning on replacing my ST1100 in the near future , but am interested in learning about some other bikes, particularly the Victory Vision and the Triumph Trophy.  I have been lurking for a few months on this forum and I thought it was time to join and become more active.

BTW, I do most of all my own work & maintenance on my bikes.   I recently replaced the timing belt on my ST1100 that now has 80K miles on it.

I finally got to a TTSE dealer a few weeks ago and sat on the Trophy.  It seems to fit me well, much better than an FJR1300, which I would consider too, if it fit me better.  The riding and performance attributes of the Trophy have impressed me.   BTW, the last Triumph I owned was a '71 Bonneville that I owned back in the early 80's.

Yup, I know all about those test rides.  I took a test ride on a new '71 CB750 years ago and became putty in the salesman's hands , but that was when I was young and foolish.  I'm older now and probably just as foolish at times, but now I have a wife, so I know better than to take that test ride ( at this time ).  Maybe in a year or two ....... but I would be looking for a nice 2014 or later at that point.  My old ST1100 is still a joy for me to ride, even though it doesn't compare to the TTSE.

I did a group IBA SS1K ride this summer and one of the Riders was on a TTSE, BTW.

Any other IBA Riders out there ??

    Welcome to the forum!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.
