Not that I know of. I use my side stand all the time.

With the bike up on the center stand, lower the side stand and see how much wiggle you've got in it.  Don't know if it's adjustable.  You also my have a bushing out of place.  Worth mentioning to your mechanic.  If they say nothing is wrong, you can always add a foot on the bottom of it to gain a little more uprightness.  I know the BMW RT police bikes have a longer side stand so they don't lean over as far.

Interesting.  This morning I was just remarking to my son how I thought the Trophy side stand seems to be more stable than the ST's.

Does seem to lean over a bit but no worse than my BMW did and it seems rock steady.  I put a RTP (Police) side stand on my BMW mostly because of the poor design of the OEM one.  It did make the bike stand up more.  Almost too much.  It got bounced over once on the ferry when we hit another ship's wakes.  After that I was much more careful where I parked, especially on the ferry, so it didn't get too upright.  Had the same trouble in parking lots.

To make a long story short.  I thinks it fine the way it is.  Only thing you might do is carry something to put under it if you have to park on a soft surface.

Thanks for the info.
It did wiggle a lot so probably needs rebushing. :028:

I use the side stand all the time unless its in the garage and I'm checking the tyres etc. I've installed bar mounted mirrors off the Explorer because the fairing  mirrors in my opinion gave very little rear view unless i needed to look at the wife's knees. Anyway I digress  :087: I kept hitting the left mirror when getting off the bike then having to re adjust when re mounted. I now always leave it on right hand lock this also stand the bike a bit more upright, I know that doesn't allow the steering lock to be used but I use an alarmed disc lock a better deterrent  :062:

Try it  :084: Works for me  :028:

It would appear all our 2013 Trophys are fine on the side stand. Unless I am reading his personal info incorrectly under his name, It looks like Triplemans problem is with a 1992 Trophy.
