    Latest ECU remap

I visited my local dealership last month for an annual service. When I collected the bike, I was told that the ECU had been remapped. I know it's easy to imagine an improvement in performance levels etc after a service as the expectation is that the bike will run better. However, I've been astonished by the difference - now, the engine is as smooth as Jorge Lorenzo (discuss) and the throttle is as crisp as you like. I've actually found myself riding in a more 'spirited' way simply because it's more fun to hoon around on. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had a similar experience?

How many miles on the bike?  Did they synchronize the throttle bodies?  Clean the intake?

Have you been monitoring fuel economy?  Did it change?

I went to the dealer in Lincoln to get the 20000 mile service (just moved to the area).  They did not say anything about a new map BUT I agree the bike seems a lot smoother and crisper.  I used to get a bit of a tingle especially on the ride home from work (never too work???) through the handlebars but not now.  As said I thought it might be valve shims (they said all the exhausts needed changing) and throttle bodies.  No reason it could not be an ECU tune.  In fact I am certain the speedo is now more accurate so I am sure they played with some of the ECU.  I updated the ECU my Sprint to make the speedo more accurate so no reason to think you can not on the Trophy.

I had a ECU remap done a month ago to get the latest update.  My problem was the intermittent windscreen not working on initial startup.  Didn't have much faith in an ECU upgrade to fix this and neither did the dealer.  It appears to have fixed that problem.  However, it may be only perception but it seems like the engine vibrates more than it did before!  The engine also seems to have more knocking tendencies on accel since I needed to move up to a higher octane fuel to minimize this.  My bike has less than 10,000 miles on it.

Actually my car is a diesel and it is quieter than my Trophy.   :008:

I agree with Ernest T, I think the TT sounds like a cummins diesel. Said that to my friends from the moment I bought it.
w8d4it must be driving either a VW (shame on them) A GM Duramax, or a Ford 6.7?
