    Hey guys.

Just wondering which company you're using for insurance. I'm with TD and my renewal is 50% higher - almost $1800/yr

46 yrs old and clean record.

    Thanks!
    Rob

Hey Rob, sorry I can't offer any viable alternative for you since I am in the land of mandatory State owned insurance ICBC [Insurance Corporation of BC].

    Insurance! :233:

The modern World demands we have insurance and to me it is tarnished with the same brush as financial services.  It is so hard to know what you are paying for and what you will get when you need them most.

I currently pay £231 per year to insure my TTSE fully comprehensively.  Fortunately I have never had a claim so I can't tell you what I'm getting for my money.  I hope I never do have a claim and have to test if my £231 was a good investment or not, all I can tell you is my policy allows me to ride within the law.

Love, light and kindness (a sign off that insurance companies would do well to take heed of!),

    Dave

With the exchange rates now our brother to the north paying $1800 Canadian Dollars is $1296.00 in U.S. Dollars.

For me I pay in U.S. Dollars $955 a year.

Our brother in the U.K. is getting a deal exchanging to U.S. Dollars is paying a meager amount of $339.71 per year.   :187:

It also helps that I have two major UK advanced riding qualifications (RoSPA Gold and IAM National Observer) and dare I say it at 64 considered a safe bet as far as they are concerned.  Also because of UK free health care at point of delivery the insurance does not have to pay out large medical expenses.

For my GTR (Concours) I paid £79 in 2014!

At the end of each insurance year the insurance companies have a habit of 'Auto Renewal'; this actually means 'Auto Rip-Off', if you call them and say cancel 'Auto Renewal', amazingly their price can as much as halve, amazing since the 'Auto Renewal' was based on extensive searching and gaining the best possible price; according to the offer letter!  Cynic me, no............. :182:
