Does anyone know if Triumph North America is actually Triumph or an Independent distributor?

I guess I need to be more clear.  Is Triumph N/A and independent distributor that buys bikes from Triumph UK and sells to dealers or is it a Triumph UK office?

I'm pretty sure it is Triumph, located in N. America. A US branch if you like.
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

To my understanding it is a branch of the same company.

Speaking of Triumph and the US company, I was disappointed when I saw them at IMS (Long Beach) and all they were showing was the Bonneville! I wanted to see what they were doing with the newest Trophy but they had nothing to show! Do you think that's a bad sign? I'm still on the Concours but, like I've mentioned in the past, am considering the Trophy for my next bike end of this year. I'm hoping it'll be around for a while!
