Triumph Trophy Paint Protection Film
« on: January 29, 2016, 10:30:38 pm »
Well guys I installed the Trophy clear film today, it turned out very good despite the two pieces that were not cut correctly. The film quality seems good probably 3M stuff, all the other pieces were cut accurately.

The front edge of the fender and the saddlebag film needed some stretching (nothing drastic) to lay down good overall a straight forward install. I threw away the included bottle and solution, I prefer a baby shampoo/water mix for general use and a alcohol spray for the harder ones like stretching. I will not go into a DIY install but thought I would share my thoughts on the product.

Here are some pics of the diagram locations and film.

Hey OhioWinger, thanks for the post and the photos. Does that kit have any panels for the knee area on the main tank? And, is that kit the A9901520 "multifit kit" or is there a different part # I should be looking for that is designed specifically for the Trophy?

Thanks much

Studley

Yes there are panels for the knees on the tank. The kit is specifically for the trophy.

I had the set on my blue Sprint GT. This is where the Lunar Silver colored Trophy has an advantage: mine does not have the clear film fitted but due to the color you can hardly  see eventual scratches.  :153:
