What touring helmet do you use?
« on: May 16, 2013, 12:46:43 AM »
I have a Shoei Qwest.    Noisy.  Fogs frequently.    Of course, with the pinlock, the fog is taken care of, yet the visibility is altered.

I also have a scorpion.    Nice helmet - less road noise yet doesn't fit comfortably.

Was wondering what others use as touring helmets.   Figured I would start a conversation

Hi,

I wear a Schuberth C3 which is one of, if not the quietest helmet on the market. This combined with protection from the Trophy screen makes for a noise free ride. :046:

I wear a Shoei Neotech as I wanted a good quality fliptop.

I've got a Shoei modular flip up.  Bought it for the bright yellow but kept it for the ventilation.  Really enjoyed the fit and quality of my Caberg modular but couldn't find a replacement and went to a ZOX modular after it.   The ZOX didn't have enough room in front for my headset microphone and I always had to check the chinbar latching to make sure it was down all the way.

Since I have a big ol' egg head...I really like Arai's Signet-Q full face helmet, which replaces the Profile model. It's shaped for "long-oval" heads. I've noticed more mfr's are now addressing different head shapes, which is awesome! Icon's latest catalog has different models specific to different head shapes, much less expensive than Arai.
