Mid 80's F. in the Texas Hill Country today and a little ride out

Got invited to go ride today with some Harley owners and a Vulcan owner by a friend of mine and took them on some roads they had never travelled in the Hill Country, and they even took me down one after a short water break that I hadn't ridden in a couple of years, which was a nice ride.  Nice and relaxed while I led, and even a little more relaxed when I followed.  Nice bunch of guys that were interested in other roads I sometimes ride that they didn't know exist.  Obviously not all Harley riders are eaten up with the H-D syndrome.  They all commented that my Trophy looked awfully comfortable and apparently handled very well after observing from a following position for a while.  I've already been asked to go with them again some time.  Maybe we can be blessed with some converts.  :745:

I also took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather in the Hill Country today.  Maybe we passed each other somewhere along the way.  I don't recall seeing another Trophy, but with the hundreds of bikes out today and the many great roads, it would have been easy to miss you. I ended up putting 509.3 miles in today.  Great riding day for sure.

I didn't ride nearly that far - Harley's and all you know.  Must have been fully half the Harley's in the entire world on the roads in the Hill Country yesterday.  Sounds like you had a great day!

When I left San Angelo, I was glad for the heavier gloves and neck gaiter.  Later, true enough, it was definitely not winter gear riding.

From Bandera to Boerne to Blanco, it seemed like every bike in the state was out.  Obviously Harleys outnumbered any other types by far.  Only had one Harley rider give me the finger when I waved.  But I also saw a fair contingent of BMWs.

Definitely a nice winter break and everybody took advantage of it.

I was in the Hill Country on the Triumph today, but it was the Virginia Hill Country and my wife and I rode to the "California Sidecar" factory to see what was up.

Had a nice lunch, it was 65 degrees, JUST started to rain when we got home, some mud and grit from the big snow on the roads but not too bad, just took in easy, just now have 300 miles on the bike and don't want to throw it down the road quite yet .....
