Tom Tom
« on: March 14, 2016, 01:11:24 pm »
Is there a tomtom that will communicate in the same way as a garmin?
It is pure laziness on my part, but I already have a tomtom account and software. Would rather not have to manage a garmin as well if I can avoid it...
Thanks
Nick

Nick, I don't believe the current Tom Toms provide you with a hard wired audio out option. To hear your audio route directions you will need to connect either to the Trophy or direct to whatever headset you use via Bluetooth.

Hello Nick,

there is no option for Rider v4 or Rider 400 with audio-out. I own a Rider v4, also without audio-out. My solution: a bluetooth-receiver with audio-jack in the glove-box (with permanent charging by micro-usb / 12V-adapter), this one connected to the Rider v4 via bluetooth, from the receiver with an audio-wire to the nav-in of the trophy.

Works....  :038:

If you're using a Sena headset like an SMH10 or higher version you can bluetooth the TomTom direct to the Sena according to the pairing instructions and still have all the other bluetooth headset functions without having the TomTom paired to the Trophy at all.

Ok. Thanks all. I thought there would be a good reason.
No drama.
Cheers
