Great trip photos
« on: May 23, 2013, 06:31:22 AM »
A photo from last weeks trip along the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia. Put the Trophy through it's paces. An absolute delight for everyone of the 3,000 Kms covered. even in the cold and wet.

Have some sympathy you Northern Hemisphere guys. It got down to 45 F. (had to convert from Celsius). It's all relative.

Growing up in Upstate New York it often hit -10F. Once awhile -25F. Once visiting a friend in Winnipeg it hit -40F which is exactly where F and C intersect. In other words once it hits minus 40 it's cold anyway you look at it. Now THAT is cold.  :190: Now you also see why I live in Texas where like Mick 45F is cold  :745:

Depends where you live in Australia.  Tomorrow I am off for a ride and the forecast is for -2c overnight. And I am going up through the mountains so might get a bit colder.  -10c is not unusual in inland Australia, but not much colder as we don't have the high mountains of the newer continents.

Originally I came from inland of the Great Ocean Road, but moved to Canberra when I was 18 so haven't been around the area as much as I should have. Most of my family is still around there.

Saaz, I've visited relatives in Sydney but I've got to admit the furthest I ever got from Sydney was the Blue Mountain National Park.  Very pretty.  My cousin told me they went skiing but I never got the impression it got "really, really" cold in Australia.   But it's a lovely country you have.  Someday I'd like to see more of it.
