Hi All- I have been researching what bike is the best combination of my current FJR, and a Gold Wing, which I want... but don't really want all of, all the time :)

Am I wrong, or does the Trophy not seem like the awesome love child of an FJR and a Wing?

Thanks for a great forum, and I look forward to making the swap soon!

Welcome. I've never been on a Gold Wing. I'd say that the Trophy is a tad less sporty than the FJR, more comfortable and better wind protection.

My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

A few ex wingers here can give you a better opinion than I, since I only drove a wing for a little over a hundred miles one time a few years ago.  I've also only sat on the new generation FJR, so I guess I'm not much help other than to say it is a more comfortable position for me than the FJR, and more comfortable than either BMW I used to own.  Is your FJR an ES version?

Mine is a '10 so regular suspension.  I work too much, so when I get to ride, I like to go long... so looking for more fairing protection, a little more upright, cruise control which I don't have now.  This looks like the perfect combination...can't wait to test ride one!

    Hi gbellleville,

The best advice I can give you is to arrange for a Test Ride on a Trophy  :169:

You will undoubtedly be impressed, so be prepared to pay a Deposit,
as you will want to order one as soon as the Test Ride is over  :152:

Looks like Baltimore and Annapolis are your nearest Dealers ?

    Cheers  :821:

It is the perfect combination. What are you waiting for?

Next step has to be a test ride.
Please report back when you've bought one!!
