EagleRider "Membership" seems like a good deal

So I have family far from home here in TN and I have always thought renting a bike in OR would be a good use of my limited vacation time. It would take at least two weeks to ride, visit family and ride back and that amount of time is hard to coordinate. So the rental thing looks like something I might do.

Renting for a week is over $1K  :084: and then I found something called "EagleRider Membership" on their website and will probably sign up. Anyone have experience with it? If anyone is a member PM me and I will use you as a reference so you get an extra free day. I would like to do that for someone if possible.  :001:

Have you looked at shipping your bike there and back?  That way you have your bike to ride.  The bike you are used to.

I am looking to head to Oregon and finish up my states toured map in August.  Looking at options.  Ride, Truck, Ship, etc.

My youngest just accepted a job in New Zealand, so I guess I will find out about renting a bike when I go visit him.

Where in middle Tennessee you located?

I live up in Clarksville, but work in Nashville and commute on the bike as often as I can. I did some digging and realized the blackout periods in Oregon (Portland) are rather restrictive. So I may have to think a bit more on this one. Just 141 days are open for use of "Free" membership rental days and 7 months blacked out entirely. Still not a bad deal.

My family is all in Oregon and there are some really beautiful parts of the state. I rented a convertible last year and drove all over the place, made me want to ride there. I still may do that, but I would need at least 2 weeks to do it right.
