Triumph Tritun Repair & Maintenance Web Site
« on: April 26, 2016, 09:46:34 pm »
Hot Warm off the Press ! ....

Triumph have launched an on-line Repair & Maintenance Web Site at : www.tritun.net

This a welcome addition by Triumph, which has some good points,
but also some not so good aspects :

Good :
  • Service Manuals, and other Documentation will be available to download
  • These online manuals will have any updates applied to them
as they are released, and so will always be up to date.
  • The site is publicly accessible and it is free to register
  • While there is nothing to suggest Triumph have any plans to do so, this could be an ideal portal
to downlooad software updates from in the future, such as the infamous Trophy Audio update !

Not so good :
  • The exisiting Service Manual for our Trophy is NOT on the site
  • Only Service Manuals for new models (starting from this year's new releases) will be on the site
  • Whle it is free to Register, there are ongoing "Subscription" fees
to download the more useful documents
  • Some of the documents that are available without subscription,
such as a Trophy SE 2013 Service Data Sheet, contain error(s),
and while these and other errors ( which are listed elsewhere in this Forum ),
have all been communicated ( by me ) to Triumph,
these have not beeen updated on their published documents.
  • Having asked the question, Triumph do not wish to grant Subscription free access
to anyone, for the purpose of continuing to check for ad advise them of any errors etc,
so I shall no longer be providing such updates and informaion to them !

I shall of course continue to maintain the list of
Owners, Audio, and Service Handbooks + Service Manual errata on this Forum,
if I become aware of any such corrections that are needed.

I think Hinckley needs to pay closer attention to, and be nicer to, the coconut.  It sounds like they are missing out on a valuable source of information.  :821:

Just registered my Trophy but there doesn't appear to be a way to add a second bike...the Thruxton may get jealous!

I've looked a little on the site but was unclear what you would get for a subscription.  I entered my bike and nothing came up in regards to service manuals or other information.
I downloaded the diagnostic tool but I'm getting a warning on the computer that the file is not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous!  What does this "tool" do?

The fees seem to be high.  What would I do with a subscription for 1 hour?

There's nothing really on there for the "current" Trophy,
( other than a Service Data Sheet which you have to hunt around for, and is easier to find on this Forum ! ), but any new Models will have documentation available there.

I would not recommend downloading the Diagnostics Sofftware -
that's for Triumph Dealers with the correct Triumph Diagnostics equipment.

A 1 hour subscription might, for example, allow you acccess to some vital information
that you needed, when carrying out a particular task ?

I agree that it does seem rather expensive,
and I won't be taking out any paid subscriptions myself !

Meanwhile the Trophy Owners handbook is already available to download
from the main Triumph Web Site here : Triumph Owners Handbook Library,
and the Audio Manual is availale to download from a link elsewhere within this Forum
( Manualsli ), but be careful to click the small green Download button top left of the screen,
and not the temptingly large Green button, which will download other stuff that you don't want ! ).

The paper vesion of the current ( original 2012 ) Service Manual
can be purchased from Triumph / Triumph World,
and as already mentioned I have compiled and maintain a list of all known errors in the Owners Handboook,
Owners Audio Handbook, Owners Service Handbook, and the Triumph Service Manual here :
Owners, Audio, and Service Handbooks + Service Manual errata

Cheers  :821:

I have service manuals for all the Triumphs that I own so that's not important to me.  I was hoping to see such things as technical service bulletins, recalls, etc.  I entered a '15 Tiger 800 XCx and it didn't show any listing of any literature for this bike either.  I haven't seem anything on this website that is useful.  Was it originally intended for dealer use with them having more access to items that the general public does?
