tent trailers

has anyone used a tent trailer?  thinking I want the option of camping and need more storage space when two up traveling anyways for extended trips and thinking a trailer would be nice so why not a tent trailer. just looking for info from users. thanks Les

Sorry for the late reply, but I have been trying to find a guy I met a few months ago. He was towing a tent trailer behind his BMW. From what I recall it opened out to a double. Was not very big and he said easy to tow. As we were talking he told me that he supplied them. I got the "you are not having one of those looks" from the better half so didn't ask where he was from. Will keep trying and let you know if I find him.

I remember seeing some when I went to rallies whilst in the Golding club,....it's a nice idea but limits speed and just doesn't seem that popular here in the UK.

I've never seen the point of trailers or sidecars for bikes.... takes all the advantages away from having a bike.... might as well be comfortable in a car that has all the space for everything you seem to need to carry...

Just learn to pack less and pack clever.

Yeah, I've always thought like that too, thing is, if you love motorcycling & camping but not roughing it so much, a trailer tent makes sense.

I've never considered it, but could see the advantages of taking a mobile base,
then exploring around after unhitching and pitching

I like to take a long summer road trip to the mountains to visit w friends and alway think it would be nice to have a way to camp along a mtn river somewhere.  I travel about 700 miles to the mtns and want to be prepared for all weather conditions so need lots of space just for riding gear, now multiply that for the lady too and leaves pretty much no room for basic clothes.  That is why thinking about the trailer and if I go that route why not a tent trailer.
