Scotland Tour
« on: May 26, 2013, 11:13:51 AM »
Well we are back from our first tour. We went from Nottingham to Dumfries, Oban, Braemar and back to Dumfries. A great ride and many lessons learnt. But first the photos:

We had intended to go to John O'Groats and do a couple of other stops but unfortunately we had to attend a funeral.

So lessons were learnt and I shall post up another tread on what we learnt as newbies touring. A tiring but happy week.

thanks Robin, judging by the bike's look I take you had dry weather all along?

Scotland is my favourite place to ride a bike, photo's just want to make me go straight back up there. Looking forward to hearing what lessons you learnt.

Hi Verdun. Yes the weather stayed dry and relatively warm all week. We were very lucky.

Bluebird: Will do the write up soon. I am still unpacking etc. I guess those experienced with touring will already know the points I will bring up.

'Helpful touring hints' would make a good thread Berber, most of us are coming to the touring stage, either single or two up.
Don't grow up, it's a trap...
