New Sena helmet
« on: June 30, 2016, 07:47:20 pm »
Anyone heard about this!?

if it works as advertised , it will be great. Only thing , no mention of a sun visor  :187: :033: , since I had helmets with sunvisors , cant go without them anymore. Hopefully its just an oversight and the production models will have them. Hope they wont be too pricey!  :110:

Sena

Not available yet, but price was estimated by one source (FWIW) at $800-$900.

That does look like a nice helmet, and will no doubt have a nice price tag to go with it.

They show them in Silver, and Black, and other colours, shame they don't have a Pacific Blue one !

Keeping in mind recent posts about Bluetooth systems and compatability with the Trophy,
I wonder if they have sorted out the Add on Bluetooth Module for this helmet ( which is 4.1 Spec )
so that it is compatible with the 2.1+EDR Spec of the Trophy ?

My $.02 is, I really hate these helmet accessory manufacturers making helmets. The helmet manufacturers spend millions on R&D yearly, testing and improving their helmet designs. You know these guys aren't doing that. Just make the best electronics system you can, partner with the major helmet manufacturers so your stuff fits in them nicely, and be done.

If you've got the benjamins to spring for this helmet and they don't have an internal visor (which it doesn't look like they do -- I also have come to love an internal visor) then spring another bennie for a photochromic face shield!

I had a Scorpion helmet with a drop down sun visor and I now have a Lazer helmet with a photochromic shield. I much prefer the latter! It really works well in all conditions and I only have to look through one piece of plastic rather than two.
