    Extended warranty or not

Hello people , I like to know your opinion or advise on this subject.

My dealer has been in business for decades selling Triumphs and others of course . He also been selling extended warranties for 25 years.

    He's the details

    1. Its for four ADDITIONNAL years no millage limit

    2. It gives the exact same coverage as the Triumph warranty

    3. No deductible at all

    4. Cost is $ 1440 .

So what do you guys think?

To those who have a Triumph older than two years ( basic Triumph warranty) , any issues !? If so , what were the cost? etc etc

First I would say No, it is not worth it.
Then I would ask if the warranty is good any place, any dealer?

Depending on that answer I would probably still say No

    $360 a year, a dollar a day.

Insurance:  You bet them something terrible will happen, then do everything you can to make sure THEY win the bet...

I bought the extended warranty Triumph offered shortly after I bought my '13 TTSE and realized it was kind of 'beta' and very very very expensive to work on.  I got 3 additional years at around $800 as I recall.

Peace of mind is what it gives I guess.  If one major thing goes wrong you are money ahead.

When the warranty expires I'll be 69 years old.  If I can still ride, I plan to buy a new bike!!!   :745:

I got a 2 or 3 additional year extended warranty from a 3rd party through the dealer with I think a $50 or $100 deductible for $750 (all I can recall exactly is the cost... go figure, lol).

I didn't purchase the extended warranty for the TTSE, but I did purchase it for the Goldwing that I had previously. I think it cost $900. for an additional 3 years if I recall correctly. It paid off in that case as about a year after the factory warranty ran out, the ECU had to be replaced at a cost of $1700.

I was a bit wary of the repair costs on the Trophy so I bought the Triumph 3 year extended warranty on my 2016.  I think it cost $750 and has a zero deductible. If I never have to use it, I will still be happy!

Same for me, and I also bought the "prepaid service" for the break-in, 10K, and 20K services at a hugely reduced price.   I asked the shop how they made money on that, and it's because many people pay for the service, then sell their Triumph without ever using it ....

I normally don't fool with extended warranties, but want to see how things go with the Trophy ....

It was my understanding that Triumph themselves do not offer an extended warranty program; I wish they did, although BMW doesn't, either.
