Got one
« on: July 09, 2016, 04:04:15 pm »
Hello.  Been on an Explorer since it launched but always had an eye on the Trophy.
Finally took a test ride yesterday and put my order in, the dealer had a phantom black so I got that picking it up next week.

They did say that triumph have knocked £1000 off the price as its being discontinued...I know, that rumor again.  I am not too concerned the price was good for me plus £600 accessory voucher.

The downside I did find was although my phone fits in the lhs compartment there isn't room to charge it as well.  I was thinking of trying one of those right angled micro usb connectors might just work.

55k miles on the Explorer now to see how the Trophy goes

I'm a bit like you ... I have 42K miles on my Moto Guzzi "Stelvio", a bike much like your Explorer, and bought the Trophy as an impulse buy and an addition to the Stelvio without even test-riding it.   My wife and riding partner decided it looked right, it sat well in the showroom, had lots of luggage space, and Triumph has a stellar reputation on the road.

Only 6000 miles so far - going on another 2000 mile ride next week, expecting more fun!
